Estonia is located in a northeast part of Europe, on southern coast of gulf of Finland of Baltic sea. Borders on Latvia in the south and Russia in the east. In the north it is washed by gulf of Finland, in the west — gulf of Riga of Baltic sea. The territory of the country includes more than 1500 islands that makes 10% of territory of Estonia. A relief is mainly flat. The most part of the country represents the flat plain covered half by woods, bogs and on a quarter turbaries. More than 1 thousand lakes are extensive also. This is the most northern and the smallest of the states of Baltic.
